Joëlle - Musical Paintings-Meditations

Updated 02/19/2023

Joëlle’s paintings and musical meditations

"Here is a succinct presentation of my two passions:

painting, psaltery."

“The soul, like the sea, has its bliss”

In my small workshop, I move from one to the other and I try to create a symbiosis between the two.

My deep motivation is all directed towards evangelization through these 2 activities.

One of my grandsons boosts me with a site that he feeds with my new releases….

“Go and make disciples of all nations”

The announcement of the Kingdom

After John was delivered up, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of God and saying:

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe the gospel.

(Mk, 1, 14-18)

Fruit of the mystery:

conversion

Cross of Light

The resurrection

Mary Magdalene, Mary, mother of James, and Salomé said to each other:

“Who will roll the stone for us from the door of the tomb? As he sat at the table with them, he took the bread, said the blessing, then broke it and gave it to them. Their eyes opened and they recognized him... but he had disappeared from before them.

Jesus said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find.” Once they went ashore, they saw a fire of embers, with fish on it, and bread.

(Mark 16, 1; 3-4),

(Luke 24 30-31), (John 21 6; 9)

The Sacred Heart

During the great apparition of the Sacred Heart to Saint Marguerite Marie ALACOQUE, in June 1675, Jesus declared: "Here is this Heart which loved men so much that it spared nothing until it exhausted itself and consumed itself for show them his love And in gratitude I receive from most only ingratitude.

Mercy, Jesus, I trust in You

Plock, Poland “1931, February 22, one evening, while I was in my cell, I saw Jesus dressed in a white tunic, one hand raised to bless, the second touching his garment on the chest. From the half-open tunic on the chest emerged two large rays, one red, the other pale. In silence, I fixed my gaze on the Lord, my soul was seized with fear, but also with great joy. After a while Jesus said to me: Paint a picture according to the model you see, with the inscription: Jesus, I trust in You. “By this image I will grant many graces; so that every soul has access to it”

(Sister Faustine)

Mary and resurrected Jesus

Image and model of the Church which awaits the Resurrected One and which, in the group of disciples, meets him during the Easter apparitions, it seems reasonable to think that Mary had a personal contact with her Resurrected Son, to also enjoy the fullness of Easter joy. Present at Calvary on Good Friday (cf. Jn 19:25) and in the Cenacle at Pentecost (cf. Acts 1:14), the Blessed Virgin was undoubtedly a privileged witness to the resurrection of Christ, thus completing her participation in all the essential moments of the Paschal Mystery. By welcoming the resurrected Jesus, Mary is also a sign and anticipation of humanity, which hopes to join him, through the resurrection of the dead.

(John Paul II)

Come and rest on the heart of your loved one

Come and rest Come and drink from the hidden spring Come and rest on the Heart of the Beloved. In the pierced heart of Jesus are united The Kingdom of heaven and the earth here below The source of Life for us is there

Our Lady of the Rosary

“I would like to draw your attention to the Rosary. The Rosary is my favorite prayer. It is a wonderful prayer. Wonderful in its simplicity and depth. In this prayer, we repeat many times the words of the Archangel and Elizabeth to the Virgin Mary. The whole Church associates itself with these words. Against the background of the Ave Marias, the main episodes in the life of Jesus Christ appear. Gathered in joyful, luminous, painful, and glorious Mysteries, they bring us into living communion with Jesus through the Heart of his Mother. At the same time, we can bring together in these tens of the Rosary all the events of our individual or family life, of the life of our country, of the Church, of humanity: that is to say our personal events or those of our neighbor, and in particular of those who are closest to us, who mean the most to us. This is how the simple prayer of the Rosary flows to the rhythm of human life. (John Paul II, Excerpts from the homilies of October 29, 1978 and May 6, 1980)

Our Lady of Lourdes

Holy Virgin, in the midst of your glorious days, Do not forget the sadness of the earth. Cast a look of kindness on those who are in suffering, who struggle against difficulties And who never cease to dip their lips to the bitterness of this life. Have pity on those who loved each other and were separated! Have pity on the isolation of the heart! Have pity on the weakness of our faith! Have pity on the objects of our tenderness! Have pity on those who cry, on those who pray, on those who tremble. Give everyone hope and peace.

So be it.

Tabernacle of the Most High

Mary adores the presence of God within her. Her son takes flesh in her body, she is united to him. His hands crossed over his heart burning with Love, his face radiant with Peace, his humility, invite contemplation. The red-orange color range expresses her greatness and royalty, she was chosen by God the Father to be the mother of his son.

“O Mary, lead us, in silence, to the interiority of prayer.”

Crowned with stars

We salute you, O you, Our Lady, Holy Virgin Mary draped by the sun. Crowned with stars, the moon is under your feet, In you is given to us The dawn of salvation.

(Words by A. Dumont)

The last journey

In Sardis, however, you have some who have not soiled their clothes; dressed in white, they will walk with me, for they are worthy. Thus, the winner will wear white clothes; I will never erase his name from the book of life; his name I will proclaim before my Father and before his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 3, 4-6)

The angel Raphael

The name “Raphael” which means “God heals” is that of an angel, the angel of providence who watches over all humanity. He takes special care of pilgrims, not only those who are on a journey, but all those whose walk leads to God. The angel Raphael accompanies and guides Tobias and his dog throughout his journey. With the gall of a fish caught by Tobias, He delivers his future wife from 7 demons and allows them a happy marriage. He rubs the blind eyes of Tobit's old father with fish gall and restores his sight. (Tobit 6-13)

The angels sing the glory of God

And suddenly there was joined to the angel a numerous company of the heavenly army, praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men in his favor!

(Luke 2; 13-15)

Have no fear, Jesus is risen

1st station: Do not be afraid, Jesus is risen: The angel spoke and said to the women: “Do not be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus the Crucified. He is not here, because he is resurrected, as he said. Come see the place where he rested. Then quickly go and tell his disciples: He is raised from the dead.” (Mt.28.5b-6a).

I also share with you short “you tube” videos combining a painting, singing, psaltery:

Meditation for Lent.

It is a painting where each scene is the illustration of the gospel text of the 8 Sundays, until the resurrection

Another more personal one dedicated to my disabled sister Catherine, who died in December 2011:
